Our team is the heart of Laborde & Associates. We are a group of dedicated professionals who are passionate about helping San Antonio's families and small businesses thrive. Get to know the people behind the numbers.

Frank Laborde started working in his dad’s southeast pharmacy at just nine years old. With roots deep in San Antonio culture and history, he opened his own, bilingual CPA firm in 1988. Now proudly located on the south side of San Antonio. His professional expertise, business consulting skills, and commitment to clients has earned him many awards over the years. A graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio, Laborde is currently the President of the Laborde Family Memorial Foundation, Treasurer and Past Chairman of the South Texas Business Partnership, a Finance Committee Member for Providence Catholic School, and on the Finance Council for St. Philip of Jesus Catholic Church.  Frank is a San Antonio history buff. He also enjoys collecting and restoring classic cars.

In addition, Laborde is a member of the following associations:

• Texas Society of CPAs
• Texas A&M Accounting Department

Prior to joining Laborde & Associates in 1998, Larry was a senior staff accountant at Cohen, Berg & Co. A graduate of St. Mary’s University. He received his CPA license in 1997. Larry has developed an expertise in audits, financial statements, tax preparation services, and small business consulting. He also enjoys gardening and hiking. As a native San Antonian, he understands the unique culture and needs of San Antonio business owners.

A native of Cd. Acuna, Coahuila, born in Nueva Rosita Coahuila Mexico, Laura joined Laborde & Associates in 1994. Laura has more than 34 years of experience in financial services. She is deeply involved in our community. She has held leadership positions on dozens of boards including:

• Sembradoras of San Antonio,
• Friends of Hospice,
• El Patronato de la Cultura Hispanoamericana, and
• University Round Table

Above all like Frank, she is also a UTSA Roadrunner.

Born and raised in Wisconsin where she earned her Bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and Business Administration with emphasis on Finance and Management from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. Emma currently resides in North Carolina with her husband, two children, and a labrador. Emma first joined Laborde & Associates in September of 2017 before taking a break as her family grew. She now works remotely as an independent contractor. In her spare time, she loves to travel, spend time with her family, reads and watches Netflix.

Angie joined Laborde & Associates in January 2023. She is a Texas A&M University – San Antonio graduate with seven years of tax preparation experience from the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program. During her time with the VITA Program, Angie served as a volunteer, site coordinator and trainer. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering at a local non-profit with their community events, emergency food pantry, and senior center. Her favorite past-time is being with her family. Angie is the proud mother of four children alongside her husband Miguel.

Wendy was born in San Antonio and raised in Nava Coahuila, Mexico. Wendy came back to receive her professional studies at Texas A&M University in San Antonio where she graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting. Wendy joined Laborde & Associates in August of 2023. In her spare time, she loves to travel, spend time with her loved ones, and work out physically.

Nicole joined Laborde & Associates in January of 2021 where she serves as our Office Manager. She is originally from Torreon, Mexico. She studied International Business with accounting at St. Mary’s University. Outside of the firm she enjoys working part-time in retail at The Gap. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her grandparents, attending concerts, and exploring San Antonio with her best friends.
